Dr. Ivan Avramidi is an accomplished researcher with more than 20 years of research experience in physics and mathematics and a research program that spans such areas as global analysis, geometric analysis, mathematical physics, spectral geometry, differential geometry, quantum field theory, quantum gravity and financial mathematics.
His publication record is extensive: he has more than 60 publications, among others, two books and more than 50 refereed papers. His papers are cited more than 1439 times in Google Scholar with one paper cited more than 208 times. He was an invited keynote and plenary speaker at several conferences. He organized Special Sessions of the American Mathematical Society; He was an Adviser of a summer school and a member of scientific and program committees of several international conferences.
He is a leading world expert in so called heat kernel methods with an established international reputation. This is evidenced, in particular, by the fact that in 2007 he was invited by the Head of Research and Development of the NATIXIS Corporate and Investment Bank in Paris, France, to present a series of lectures for their quantitative analysts on the application of analytic and geometric methods for modeling various derivative products in finance.
